The plants are equipped with Vestas’ V-112 units with a capacity of 3 MW each and a hub height of 119 meters. The units are the highest ever commissioned in Ukraine and will together generate more than 70 million kWh of clean electricity annually. The international electrical engineering group ABB from Sweden has delivered the state of the art electrical equipment for the electrical substations.

Mr. Sturen outlines the strategic targets for Vindkraft Ukraina  – “We intend to continue developing wind power plants in Ukraine despite the current uncertainties. We hope that the Ukrainian parliament will extend the present tariffs which will bring major investments into the field.

We are about to announce the largest tender for wind turbines in the history of Ukraine and expect all major suppliers to participate.”

Vindkraft Ukraina LLC is a privately held Ukrainian company established in 2010.
